I have never used community walk before. It was kind of neat, I could see it being useful if you were going on a trip and wanted to map things near to where you were staying. I have never used google maps before, but I have used mapquest. Mapquest is great if you want step by step directions. I found google maps I couldn't put in my address to get directions (then my street is not even listed on the map). Here is a map of my town.
